A flying saucer was seen landing on a road in the Abbeville region by three young men from Vron, aged 18 to 19, who were returning from a worksite and riding bicycles on the road from Nantes to Ligescourt (Abbeville district). The craft resembled a haystack. Around it moved "individuals of a strange shape." As the earthlings approached, the supposed flying saucer took off and disappeared over the horizon.
An industrialist from Vimeu reportedly saw the same craft flying over the Beauchamp area.
The local authorities and gendarmerie were notified.
A TRUNCATED CRESCENT was seen near Lusignan (Vienne) by Misses Giebeck and Jacqueline Bobin, Mr. and Mrs. Vion, and Mr. and Mrs. Dutaud. The object allegedly hovered for a few moments before ascending vertically and disappearing. Mr. and Mrs. Dutaud saw a flying egg.
A FLYING DIVER was seen yesterday morning by Angelo Girardeau, 55 years old, a laborer in Breuil-Chaussée (Deux-Sèvres), near the grain silo of Bressuire.
A LIT CIGAR was seen by several people in Vic-sur-Cère.
AN ORANGE DISC was seen by an insurance agent from Clamecy.
A LUMINOUS SPHERE was seen by fifteen people in Vatan. The same sphere, or another one, was seen in Levroux, in the same department, by Mrs. widow Janiki and Mrs. widow Lacotte.
A DAZZLING TRAIL was spotted in Meudon, on October 1 at 8:30 p.m., by Mr. Henri Martini, a civil engineer, who told us: "I used to be skeptical; now I'm convinced of the existence of saucers."
