Dijon, 1^st. -- Two children from Prémanon, the young Raymond Roland, 12, and his sister Janine, 9, told their schoolmaster this amazing story:

It was pouring rain yesterday before when around 8:30 p.m., Raymond heard his dog barking furiously. He went out and saw in the courtyard of his parents' farm a metallic craft, 2 meters high, which shone in the light. Frightened, the kid returned inside, but driven by curiosity, he went out again with his sister. The strange craft had approached. The boy threw some stones in the direction of the machine which started off. The two children were blown away and dared not tell their parents about their mishap.

When questioned by the police, Raymond said that "the thing (sic) was on three feet".

Indeed, the gendarmes found traces in the courtyard. But the rain had partially erased them.

Flying saucers are getting more and more attention

MOREZ. -- "We saw ghosts last night," said on Tuesday Raymond Roman, 10 years old, and his sister Jeanine, 9 years old, who live on a farm in Prémanon.

It was 8:30 PM on Monday, and a storm was rumbling over this region of the high Jura. Young Raymond, hearing the family dog barking, went outside and saw a silver object about two meters tall, standing on three legs right in the middle of the farmyard. At first scared, Raymond quickly ran back inside, then came back out, gathering all his courage and a few stones, which he threw at the mysterious object that had meanwhile slightly moved.

The child then approached, and the shiny object started moving, emitting a blast that knocked young Raymond to the ground. His cry of fear attracted his little sister, who also saw what soon everyone in the area was calling the flying saucer of Prémanon.

Although it had been raining continuously since Tuesday, the gendarmerie, which conducted the investigation, found marks on the grass at the spot indicated by the children.

Saucer or not, one thing is certain: Raymond Roman's fright was so great that this otherwise perfectly normal child has since developed a stutter.

SAUCERS EVERYWHERE

Other flying saucers have been spotted under various latitudes: in Rebais (Seine-et-Marne), in Brest, in La Rochelle, in Linz (Austria), in Nîmes, in Montpellier, in Perpignan, in Pau, in Casablanca and in Safi (Morocco).

One of our readers, Mrs. Chatelin, who lives at 47, rue Victor-Hugo in La Norville (Seine-et-Oise), reported seeing a "round and luminous thing" moving in the sky over Arpajon on September 22.

The "Meteor" Over Sweden Was Not a Robot Weapon ... But a Jet Plane

Stockholm. - The "meteor of Bjuv," photographed on the night of Monday to Tuesday by a local resident, was merely a jet plane, according to the Swedish general staff, who examined the photo of the object. However, Professor Bertil Lindblad, attached to the Lund Observatory, after studying the pictures and their enlargements, had believed it to be a robot weapon.

Based on the direction taken by the object, it was speculated that it might have come from the shores of East Germany, where, according to some reports, the Russians are currently conducting rocket experiments.

Still More Saucers... On Land and in the Sky

Meanwhile, "flying saucers" continue to be reported in all corners of the French sky. Hardly a day passes without credible witnesses claiming to have seen "mysterious craft" of bizarre shapes, speeding silently through the air.

Near Perpignan, several grape harvesters reported seeing a shiny object in the sky shaped like a saucer. After moving vertically and leaving a white trail, the craft disappeared into the clouds.

On Wednesday, at dusk, a sailor at the helm of the "Port-Lyautey" saw, less than 500 meters away, a red saucer-shaped craft skim the surface of the water, then rapidly ascend vertically before vanishing, leaving behind a red flame.

In a field at the edge of a grove of poplars, a strange oval-shaped craft, about three meters in diameter and 2.5 meters in height, appeared to several road workers in Quincy-Voisins (Seine-et-Marne). It rested on the ground using three rather tall supports. Its upper section featured a small translucent dome, seemingly made of plastic. The entire object had a metallic sheen resembling aluminum.

One of the road workers, Mr. Goujon, recounted that he attempted to approach the craft, but upon reaching about 150 meters, he experienced tingling sensations as if an invisible electric beam was being directed at him.

"I felt," he said, "paralyzed, and my vision slightly blurred. I then saw the saucer rise very slowly, without making a sound, drifting like a 'falling leaf' up to 25 meters above the ground. It hovered briefly before suddenly vanishing at high speed, still without noise or any luminous trail." Deep marks about 10 centimeters in depth were found on the ground.

The "Cigar" Took Off With a Sharp Whistling Sound

Two bricklayers, Messrs. Romain Sébastiani and Buratto, both competitive cyclists from Roanne, saw a craft take off with a sharp whistling sound along the roadside in Blanzy, near Montceau. "The craft," they said, "was cigar-shaped, very dark yellow in color, about three meters long, and had a diameter of approximately 60 to 80 centimeters."

In Rixheim (Haut-Rhin), two residents equipped with binoculars observed the movements of a luminous cigar-shaped object, surrounded by a dozen smaller "cigars" of similar but smaller dimensions.

The "star four times bigger than the others," which the captain of a cargo ship and two sailors observed with binoculars in the Bay of Biscay on the night of September 23, appeared as a moving disc with occasional green reflections.

The most amazing story is that told by a 12-year-old boy, Romain Romand, whose parents are farmers in Prémanon, in the Jura. Thursday evening, he saw a flying saucer, two meters high, which had landed in the middle of the farmyard. He threw stones at it and approached. The saucer began to move and the movement of air lifted him from the ground.

Terrorized, he fled. Her 9-year-old sister claims to have also seen the saucer from the window. The two children claim that they had never heard about "flying saucers."

Flying saucers continue to be talked about more than ever. And their detractors, like those who think they exist, are likewise spoiled.

The first ones in particular, by a precision relating to the "saucer" described last week in Grenoble by Dr Martinet.

The observations of a pilot from Challes-les-Eaux, who attended the same show, established that it was in fact a... flight of starlings.

The latter will be able to report new manifestations of the saucers.

In the Oise in particular, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph van Wymersch, of La Chapelle-en-Serval, who declared to have seen in this locality, Wednesday evening, around 9 p.m., for about 15 minutes, "a luminous craft which rose and fell in the sky to then disappear in the direction of the West."

Elsewhere in France, it is at Mas de Bruzy, near Perpignan, in Rixheïm, in Pau and in Nevers, that witnesses said they saw saucers.

At Mas de Bruzy, several grape pickers claimed to have seen a shiny circular object in the sky which, after moving vertically leaving a white trail, disappeared in the clouds.

In Rheim [sic], near Mulhouse two people said they had observed a luminous craft with binoculars. They found, they say, that the object was shaped like a long cigar and was surrounded by a dozen small satellite cigars. A railway worker on night duty said he had observed the same phenomenon.

Finally in Pau, Wednesday morning, around 11:45 a.m., numerous people, says an A.F.P. dispatch, saw a cigar moving at very high altitude and, near Nevers, a farm worker who was riding a bicycle on the road to Saint-Pierre-le-Moutier, saw, he claims, a semi-spherical object that moved silently with great rapidity in a northeast direction.

The "saucer" that Mr. Ates, engineer-architect from Marseille, specifies having photographed from his home on May 26, at 6:30 p.m. - our photo - was, on the contrary according to him, extremely noisy since, he said, it made the tiles of his room vibrate while remaining motionless in the sky and that, when it rose to disappear, its acceleration was accompanied by an astonishing explosion.
